1985 was a year when many film & video organisations were forced to close, after an uncertain future and an emergency meeting there was support for the continuation of WFT.
A group of women, of which I was one, came together and we were able to re-group and restructure.

We re-establish WIFT including organising newsletters, film festivals, networking events, employment & training opportunities, networking, workshops and mentoring.

WFT received a $3,000 grand from WFF to produce the first National Women’s Network Register of women working in film, television and video.
